Eli Linskill Shore

In February 2018 I retired early. I was 62 years old and very happy. I danced on the street because I no longer needed to work at Rambam. It took a while and I started thinking about how to mold content into my new life.

Art, I have loved all my life, but only to see, not to create. So, with the encouragement of my environment. I started sketching and drawing in pencils and crayons basic watercolors, and the response was sympathetic and accommodating.

I have learned from the internet, and from other people's drawings. Each painting was an adventure with a few materials on the kitchen table. The choice of watercolors was for practical reasons of result speed and work comfort.

It became clear to me that I like to draw portraits from photographs and inpuse a soul into them. The perspective, the colors and the interpretation came naturally.

In 2019, I presented my first exhibition at a community center in Ramot Sapir, followed by many group exhibitions.

In 2020 I discovered drawing with white pencil on a black paper. The corona influence made me develop the painting of emotions with a white pencil, and the result was a solo exhibition at the Artists House in 2021.

Today painting continues in parallel lines, drawing and watercolors, with different contents. The development continues as well as learning.

Thanks to my beloved Uri, who is the impulse and executor and the photographer from whom I was inspired.
